BK PLUMBING INC. PHILOSOPHY

BK Plumbing has grown rapidly because of the way our technicians treat our customers. We are out to prove to customers and our competitors that you can do a job well, with integrity, and at a fair price. We are dedicated to providing a professional experience to our customers. All of our personnel are drug tested, background checked, and professionally trained.

Brian Sandy - President & CEO

Brian K Sandy, the owner of BK Plumbing, was raised by his grandparents on a farm in Kentucky. It was there that he developed his strong work ethic. His grandparents also taught him the importance of living by the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Brian is a Licensed Master Plumber in Kentucky, where he began his plumbing career over 21 years ago, starting in residential work, and then specializing in commercial plumbing as well. He is also a State Licensed Plumbing Contractor in Tennessee, as well as a Licensed Septic Tank Installer. Plumbing comes naturally to Brian because of his love of building and fixing things with his hands. He derives his greatest satisfaction from building a solid business on the quality of the work of his professionally-trained team, and taking care of the customers first. When not working, Brian enjoys camping and spending time with family. In 2004, Brian launched his own company, founded on those values he learned growing up, “to treat others the way you want to be treated.” Stepping back and examining a ‘job well done’ brings him his greatest satisfaction at work. His belief is that plumbing is an art form and he often states that "The first 4 words in the definition of plumbing are 'the art of installing'."

Gerald Dorsey - Operations Manager / Estimator

Gerald brings 50 years’ experience in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing to BK. He completed 5 years’ education in an apprentice union school, served as a project superintendent for 14 years, and progressed in his plumbing career to entrepreneurship, with his own plumbing business for 32 years. He has worked on many large projects including hospitals, medical buildings, shopping malls, high-rise condominiums, site utilities – both water and sewer lines, lift stations, schools, and government projects on military bases. Gerald has completed a 32-hour OSHA training course, First Responders in First Aid training, and Medical Gas & Piping & Safety Training courses, and is certified in all. Of BK Plumbing, he says he feels the company is fair and understanding with their employees and customers. He finds it enjoyable to be able to work for this company, knowing that everyone is respected as individual, and not just as an employee number. When not configuring estimates, you’ll find Gerald fishing, wood-working, and refinishing old furniture and antiques.

Eric Stiegler - Plumber

Eric has 15 years’ experience in plumbing, including a 4-year stint in the apprentice program in Maryland. His focus has been mostly on commercial jobs and new construction. He holds an MD Journey License, and has completed 10 hours’ worth of OSHA training. He is certified in Medical Gas Piping, Backflow Prevention, Rigging & Signaling, Forklift Operator, Confined Space Operations, NITC ASME IX Brazer, NITC ASSE 6010 Installer. The best thing about working at BK Plumbing for him is that he feels it’s “like family.” Eric moved to Maryville from Delaware, and says it’s “the best thing he’s ever done – coming to BK Plumbing.” When not on duty, he spends time hiking, camping, backpacking, biking, and kayaking – anything outdoors.

Danny Slatter - Service Plumber

Danny has been a Plumber for nearly 20 years, mostly specializing in service calls. He worked in the family plumbing business, and then with Raine & Son before coming to BK Plumbing. What he enjoys most about working at BK Plumbing is his co-workers and the camaraderie. Due to the specialized experience of each team member, BK Plumbing is known for their expertise in many areas of plumbing. As a result of BK’s reputation for being the “Go-To Plumber”, they receive a variety of calls, and Danny really appreciates the wide array of tasks that he is called upon to perform. With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, he is still eager to expand his knowledge, and takes the opportunity to learn from his counterparts whenever he can. When not working, Danny likes to camp, hike, attend concerts, watch classic TV shows and movies, and spend time with his family.
